Chantele Cross Jones' Review

Hello! I’m Chantele Cross-Jones,

I run Daisy Dayz fashion and lifestyle blog and am a freelance journalist from Cardiff. I fell in love with Fever London a few years ago after purchasing a beautiful bright yellow silky kimono like top. I think I have found the brand that was specifically made for me. My style is feminine, girly 50’s themed (think pretty patterned day dresses, full pleated skirts and fitted modest girly tops) so their whole design idea is utter perfection and this seasons catalogue did not disappoint. There were so many 50’s silhouettes I found myself swooning on every other pages so choosing my  favourite items was so difficult. So I thought of 4 different scenarios I run into on a daily basis and dressed myself for each of them. See what you think of my picks!

Cabana Top in Jade

Cindy Trousers in Camel

For the Office - Crawford Trousers in Camel with Cabana Top in Jade

This outfit is great for the office. Smart and sophisticated but still individual enough for you to stand out and feel womanly while at work. The neutral colour of the trousers make them more suited to the summer and the bright Jade top adds colour to the outfit. The trousers have a slightly wide leg and the top has huge puffy sleeves making them bang on trend for these seasons 70’s vibe. I would wear this with a long chunky chain necklace and jade coloured wedged espadrilles.

Drinks with the Girls - Wildflower Frances Dress

This sexy little number is well tailored and has such an interesting shape and style. I am a huge fan of tulip shaped skirts as I think they look elegant and edgy. I love how this dress pairs a simple white blouse top with a beautifully patterned textured skirt. I think it would be great to wear out for drinks with my girlfriends and I would pair it with a simple black blazer and a nice pair of suede platformed heels.

A Picnic - Bluebird Side Lace Dress with Chiffon Fez in Midnight Blue

This sweet little dress is so reminiscent of 1950’s day dresses with it’s modest style and vintage-esque print. It is adorable and I think it would be great to wear on a family picnic in the park on a nice sunny day. I would wear it with the little shrug for a modern touch and to keep me warm in the British weather. I chose the Midnight Blue as I like how it would contrast with the pastel colours in the dress, but I also think the Fuchsia shrug would add a brilliant pop of colour to the outfit. To finish off the outfit I would pair it with a big 70’s style floppy hat and some simple flat sandals and a nice wicker picnic hamper.

Date Night - Felicity Dress in Spearmint

This little dress is perfect for a romantic date night with your other half. Whether your going out for a meal, a trip to the theater or just spending a night at the pub together this sweet dress is perfect. It is girly and sexy in a modest way. The loose fitting skirt makes it flattering on all sizes and the frilly neckline and shoulders keeps it looking very pretty and feminine on women of all upper body shapes. This dress comes in 3 stunning colours all of which are lovely but spearmint is my personal favourite as it is interesting and modern. I would wear this with a camel or cream trench coat for a sophisticated edge and matching colour simple round toed heels, maybe with a little bow.
