Alice gets married, a low-key London wedding

Alice (art director and store manager) and her boyfriend Steve got married last weekend and held the most beautiful, vintage inspired, low-key London wedding we've ever been to.

Hair and make-up was courtesy of Carl Stanley, who we work with on shoots. Alice rarely wears much make-up so Carl kept her looking light and natural, whilst dealing with young bridesmaids who kept pestering him for purple nail varnish.

Her dress was from Belle & Bunty in Dalston,  a vintage inspired silk dress with a sash, open back and cut to ankle length.

The ceremony was at Islington town hall with the bride and groom's family, happy tears and confetti. Followed by lunch at The Well in Clerkenwell, a local restaurant that Alice and Steve love and it was a drenched in sunshine for the afternoon.

Then we headed south to a garden party for the reception. Alice's styling experience came into play and the decorations of brightly coloured sweet peas hanging in jars, paper lanterns and white feathers, set against a London backdrop of scaffolding, looked magical.

We drank prosecco and elderflower cocktails...followed by 21 year old whisky.

Wedding guests wore (of course) Fever London...

Best part of the wedding according to the bridesmaids? The popcorn...

Alice and Steve felt that it was exactly the event that they wanted; informal, intimate and focussed on the two of them getting married, with none of the fuss, months of planning and Pinterest board prep, that's just not them at all.
