The journey of the collection: in pictures

Above the clouds

For SS15, our travels took us to Paris, Miami and California. Here you can see the influence of those areas and how the colours and scenes, as well as vintage treasures, wove their way into our designs.

Eiffel Tower, Paris

Timeless style and elegance is what we think of when we're walking the streets of Paris. We found a beautiful piece of 1940s embroidery that was the inspiration for the neckline of the San Antonio Blouse.

Miami airport

Miami = COLOUR! Brightest, boldest sun-drenched colour. We saw so much of this vibrant shade of sapphire and we combined it with the idea of a print on a 1950s Hawaiian dress that we found there to create the Bahamas Cover Up.

In LA we looked at the prettiest, pastel prom dresses, all chiffon, lace and tulle in retro colours like the pink of the Beverley Hills Hotel.  The Fonteyn Prom Dress was inspired by an early 1960s prom dress that we found there.

Vintage shopping in Long Beach

All vintage aficionados MUST go to Long Beach, it's a haven for fashion and interiors - 4th Street is even called Retro Row. Here we found beautiful 1950s and 1960s cashmere knitwear and we worked on designing delicate neckline details for the Jessica Cardigan.

Where should we go to next? Can you recommend any cities that we should visit for vintage inspiration? We'd love to hear your thoughts...
