Postcards from LA

Last month we went to LA and Miami on a vintage inspiration trip. We saw some beautiful sights and colours that will influence the next collection (SS15). Here are a few images from the trip.

We were surprised...that it was raining when we arrived at LAX. NOT what you want to see when you've spent 10 hours travelling from grey, wet London and have optimistically put pair of flip flops on your feet.

Raining in LA!

We loved...Abbot Kinney at Venice Beach. We window shopped the stylish stores at 5 am when extreme jet lag kicked in and had coffee and breakfast pizzas at the bakery takeaway GTA.

We saw...some beautiful colour palettes and prints that really caught our eye.

We found....  some fabulous treasures at the flea markets and vintage boutiques like this 1970s globe and typewriter that just wouldn't fit in our suitcase.

We bought... this Kit Cat clock that has been made in America for 80 years and is rumoured to have been the inspiration for Felix the cat.

We admired ...the Devonshire Lodge for it's kitsch style but were pleased that we weren't actually staying there!

The best view in LA?... the palm trees and the beach of course!
