Fever Beauty: Get the 'Heritage' look...

Arlington Dress

Our SS14 'Heritage' collection is all about retro riviera daywear and THE summer dress, and as we had the wonderful Carl Stanley on board for the shoot, we knew that he would truly encapsulate the essence of the collection with his fantastic hair and make-up skills. If you would like to re-create the 'Heritage' look, please see Carl's top tips and a behind the scenes photo below;

Step 1. For Ellie's make up i used a matte foundation with SPF15 to provide sun protection and keep the skin shine-free in humidity.

Step 2. Apricot blusher was applied to the apples of the cheeks to give a warm glow,

Step 3. For the eyes i used an aqua powder eyeshadow over the eyelids to mirror the ocean and a waterproof black mascara.

Step 4.  For Ellie's lips, i used a coral lipstick - lips can tend to go 'blue' in the cold sea-breeze, so a warmer orange-based shade will help prevent this.

Step 5. Now for the hair, after spraying  damp hair with surf spray on the lengths, it was then roughly blowdried.

Step 6. I then brushed the hair smooth to the head and secured with a snag-free elastic band on the crown leaving a quarter-inch section of the ponytail so i could wrap around the hairband to cover it, secured with a hairpin.

Step 7. Finally, the hair smooth to the head was fixed with an extra-hold hairspray to prevent flyaways.
