Inspirational cities: Cressida loves Milan

We travel the world for vintage inspiration and each of us has fallen head over heels in love with a different city. For designer Cressida, Milan is her favourite city for it's style, fashion, art and espressos.

Cressida loves Milan

I love...

People watching over lunch. The women of Milan know how to dress and it’s great to take some snap shots of what they are wearing. They are always look elegant and classic, the stylish couple above were photographed at the Duomo.

I buy...

Vintage dresses, especially prints and I look out for clever details and trims on clothes as inspiration for the Fever collection at the start of every new season. Plus far too many espressos to keep me going!

I visit...

Other than all the shopping, I like to pop into Corso Como to see what’s on at the art gallery. At present they are showcasing a collection of photographs called ‘’A Glimpse at photo Vogue’’, which, was a perfect way to end a long day whizzing around the shops before settling down to some pasta and a good glass of vino!

I also love to walk around the Navigli area by the canals, again it's great for people watching  and it's  worth visiting the Navigli Flea Market there to hunt for Italian antique treasures.

I wear...

For day Skinny phoenix jeans, converse trainers, the Avebury top and the Topsham coat in port for a chic, Italian look.

For night Winter Blossom cowl neck dress teamed with a mustard Bray cardigan.
